Fawaz Baker is an ud, qanun and bass player. A composer and architect, he is also former director of the Aleppo Conservatory (Syria).

He has been the disciple of several masters in Arabic and Turkish music, and deepened his practice of traditional improvisation by training in jazz in Lyon. He plays in several ensembles and orchestras in France and Syria. At the same time, Fawaz is still carrying out in-depth research on the geometry of intervals in oriental music.
