Bahram Mansurov (1911 - 1985) was considered an important and reliable transmitter of the classical repertoire (Mugam and old melodies) inherited from a family tradition.

The Mansurovs were notables of Baku who practiced music themselves, and opened their salon to amateurs and professionals whom they patronized. Bahram is the son of Mirza Mansur who was an esteemed tar player (1887-1967).
