Saptak Sharma is a promising tabla player from the so-called "Ajrada" tradition.
He started tabla at the age of four. For nine years, he has been trained in Delhi by the famous tabla master Akram Khan. Saptak received the Award from the National Academy of Dance, Theater and Music (Sangeet Natak Academy) of Uttar Pradesh in 2014.
A professional percussionist, he plays as much on the classical scene as in contemporary music projects.
