The examples presented in the educational portal for modal music follow the same model. Each example begins with an audio or video piece of a work emblematic of the musical practice studied.
The piece is analyzed in successive stages.
The first six steps being essential for understanding the module, we thus advise to approach them in the order of their presentation. Additional information on the social and musical context, a bibliography and a discography are proposed in the last part for a deepening of the subject.
While allowing transversal navigation, each module offers two entry levels: the "discovery" level (designed for novice audience, amateur musicians or those discovering modal music) and the "advanced" level (professional musicians, teachers, researchers, higher education students in music, etc.).
