Musical analysis
Musical analysis is a discipline consisting in the study of a musical work in order to understand its genesis, architecture and designs. In ethnomusicology, analysis is one of the tools for highlighting musical systems specific to the musical culture concerned.
Articulation
Articulation is the art of imitating the inflections of the human voice, in the practice of a musical instrument. The articulation consists essentially in the mastery of the attacks, as well as in the management of the micro-silences between the notes (articulation silences), which give all their clarity to the musical message. In the days of early music, nuances were much less developed than today, but articulation was then one of the main means of expression.
